Position Summary:
Riverway Business Services is seeking an Accounting Assistant to handle administrative duties that the accounting department oversees, such as organizational development, inventory management and control, human resources, quality control, insurance compliance, database administration, as well as many seasonal responsibilities of the department. A strong work ethic along with the ability to work often and well with others is a requirement of this position.
As the Accounting Assistant, you will:
• Process payments and documents such as invoices, employee reimbursements, and financial statements
• Maintain and improve the organization’s bookkeeping process
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
• Complete routine tasks and data entry in Excel, QuickBooks, and Salesforce
• Develop knowledge to assist in answering routine questions from internal staff and contract employees
• Assist in preparing onboarding documents, issuing, and recording equipment distribution
• Completing and properly managing all hiring documents and Insurance documentation for internal Riverway Office Staff
• Assist in the overall quality assurance of all documents for contractors and/or temporary workers including regular audits of the compliance process
• Be trained and assigned the Work Opportunity Tax Credit program for consistent management and superior organization
• Record and manage all company licenses for its Salesforce Database
• Record and manage JAMF, Apple iPhones management, internal equipment vendors
• Keep the office adequately supplied through online management of office, lavatory, and kitchen supplies
• Review and ensure that all needed paperwork is in hand, filed properly on a weekly basis for all contractors
Skills/Knowledge:
• HIGHLY detail-oriented and organized – we will ask you for specific situations that showcase your ability here
• Independent problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal
• Intermediate Excel Skills – understanding of how to manage/organize a workbook, creating formulas, pivot tables
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
