Position Summary:
We are looking for a tech-savvy Desktop Support Technician to be responsible for providing technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software. As a Desktop Support Technician, you are responsible for responding to email, chat, or phone queries and offering technical support to customers using computer systems, hardware, and software.
Desktop Support Technician Responsibilities:
• Respond to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access
• Offer technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software
• Install printers and scanners
• Train computer users
• Tickets must be completed/resolved within SLA
• Train other staff on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
• Gain feedback from customers to improve training methods
• Write and edit training manuals
• Run reports and analyzing common complaints and problems
Skills/Knowledge:
• Knowledge of L1/L2 Support
• Excellent communication skills
• Must follow customer communication standards
• Desktop and Laptop imaging
• Active Director understanding/knowledge
• Knowledge of Cisco IP phones
• Office 365
• Cherwell Ticketing system
• Knowledge of ticketing systems/applications, workflow, and data configuration
