Position Summary:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled .Net Developer to play a vital role for a business unit in development and maintenance of the technical suite of proprietary tools that are used by engineers globally. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with solution architect as well as global applications team to build superior and innovative solutions that automate and increase the efficiency of current processes

Classification: Non-exempt

Essential Responsibilities:
• Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance and continual improvement
• Adhere to the Company's objectives, i.e. Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information Security
• Ensure compliance with departments standard procedures
• Gather the requirements and rules from various cross-functional organizations for implementation of new features
• Create and maintain the existing functional specification documents
• Responsible for development, testing and validation of the newly developed code
• Collaborate with IT department for the deployment of the tool
• Continuously update and maintain the standard software design documents along with the various other documents within the tool such as input and output templates etc
• Maintain and modify the existing code to add new features using new design rules and guidelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve the issues raised by user and report the outcome
• Create and update the existing user manual
• Willing to wear multiple hats and show flexibility in accommodating business needs
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned

Skills & Knowledge
• Knowledge of manipulating XML files, programming against Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI applications is preferable
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server and management studio necessary i.e. be able to write queries and perform basic tasks such as managing users, access to DBs etc.
• Ability to understand existing code and modify and update based on the design guide lines
• Knowledge and experience with any of the CAD platform or their integration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work well with others in a global team environment
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills are necessary
