Position Summary:
Seeking a Payroll Processor to be responsible for timely processing of payroll and preparation of paychecks.
Classification:
Non-exempt
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist with Payroll processing up to and including payroll exception data entry for new hires, terminations, transfers, labor allocations, and Time and Attendance programs
• Auditing of timesheet data entry for all pay groups
• Pre and Post Audits of payroll employee information in HRIS system
• Calculation of worker’s compensation, state disability pay offset, retro pay, etc.
• Special payroll runs, such as bonus, etc.
• Auditing of timesheet data entry for all pay groups. Review timecards to identify potential errors and develop and distribute reports outlining information requiring attention
• Calculates and processes retroactive pay, earnings, driver advances, relocation pay and reimbursements, tax adjustments, severance pay, etc.
• Responds to inquiries and complaints
• Analyzes and participates in resolving payroll problems
• Trial and final processing for each pay group of the payroll
• Will be required to assist with filing, manual and electronic
• Significant administrative duties as assigned
Skills & Knowledge:
• Intermediate of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Excellent organizational and planning skills. Individual should prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Adaptable to changes in the work environment, competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
• Basic math skills to include but not limited to adding and subtracting for the purposes of reconciling invoices and other accounting practices as it pertains to the job
