Position Summary:
We are seeking a Revenue Management Specialist for a growing renewable energy client. The role will verify compliance with contractual obligations, improve the billing process, ensure directives and company policies are followed, also support internal functional groups by researching and validating revenues reported. The position requires a moderate level of adaptability along with strong analytical abilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Correspond with customers and department personnel to answer questions about billing and payments
• Extensive Excel analytical work which includes customer account research, when required
• Works with other functional departments to complete daily tasks and resolve any issues
• Complete billing controls and compliance reporting
• Sends communications regarding customer account status for past due and payment plan customers; including but not limited to disconnection and default notices
• Simplifies billing procedures to facilitate fast and effective processing of billing statements and drafting
• Looks for areas of improvement to improve the billing and collections process
• Works with IT to supply technical resolutions and enhancements to issues
• Ensures all cycle prep and control reports are completed on time and with maximum attention to detail
• Ensures all billing, payment, and collections issues are resolved timely
• Coordinates with third parties to validate cash receipt from processed payments
• Performs other ad hoc duties when assigned
Skills/Knowledge:
• Prior working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Superior Excel skills in utilizing the VLOOKUP function, creating PivotTables, and other advanced functions and formulas are required; experience with Enabler, XL Connector, and SQL is a plus
• A customer service background, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and work schedule flexibility to complete critical projects when required
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, which should include having strong presentation skills, are preferred
